Singer Vivian Tendo has opened up about the rumours that her husband, Moses Tinsley, stopped her from doing music following their wedding.
Vivian, during her Q&A session with her fans on her YouTube channel, was asked why she followed her husband’s orders to walk away from a career she loved so much.
The singer, who looked quite disappointed, denied the allegations and questioned where the narrative came from. She noted that despite getting married in 2023, she continued doing music by releasing new projects on her channel.
For her to take a step back, she explained that she was not evolving with music and started getting used to doing the same things, and at some point, she realized it was not working for her.
“I want to make it clear that nobody stopped my career. As an artist, I was just so used to doing the same things, and at some point, it wasn’t working for me. Those in the industry would know that music takes a lot. The results are nice, but the process takes a lot of sacrifice. I had all that, but at some point I thought I needed redirection as an artist,” she said.

Among other challenges that might have pushed her into a break was the fact that she found so much trouble in promoting her music. She was starting to get frustrated with how the industry worked, with people taking advantage of her and constantly asking for money.

Despite being exceptionally talented, Vivian revealed she has a lot of dreams in life that do not revolve around music alone. She is currently taking a different direction in life, and her husband has been her greatest support.
“I did not stop singing because I believe I’m talented, and no one is going to take my voice away from me, but it is wrong to say my husband stopped my career. He has really supported my dream. I have a lot of dreams, not only music. Life comes with different directions, she said.
