The Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Tumusiime has vowed to fight household poverty in her term of office. Hon. Tumusiime who was speaking at the handover of 86 bags of Maize seeds to over 50 women on Friday appealed to leaders at all levels to embrace programs that aim at alleviating household poverty. She urged the beneficiaries to utilize the rainy season to plant the maize seeds other than misusing them. She pledged to continue lobbying for more projects and goodies for her constituents. The handover ceremony was organized at the Entebbe Children’s Park and was attended by several women leaders including the Agnes Kiwanuka Sentongo who hailed Hon. Tumusiime for lobbying for the Maize seeds. The women will distribute the maize seeds to the locals in the respective villages. The maize seeds were given to every Member of Parliament to supply to their constituents.
