

Seasoned Entebbe based Club Golfer and Lady National Team player Irene Nakalembe and Shou-Ta-Huang earned the bragging rights at the 8th Marsh Sponsored Chairman’s Cup Golf Tournament that got underway at the Par71 Entebbe Golf Course on Saturday. Nakalembe carded a total of 33 stable ford points to emerge overall winner in the Ladies Category while Shou-Ta-Huang carded a total of 37 stable ford points to emerge overall winner in the Men’s category.
Kitengo Mutesasira emerged Group A winner with a total of 36 points while Salani Josef and Patrick Billy topped group B and C with 36 and 35 points respectively. In the Ladies category Maxi Byenkya and Nancy Mugo topped Group A and B with 31 and 33 points respectively while Egaddu George claimed the senior’s category prize after he returned a total of 20 points.
In the Pros Category Vincent Byamukama comfortably cruised to victory after he beat 23 other pros. He carded a total of 72 Gross to be crowned Champion of the day.

The Five million shillings (Shs5m) prize kitty that had been staked will be shared among the top eight best pros.
Elsewhere in the Indoor and out-door games off-form seasoned professional golfer Deo Akope scooped the Snooker challenge prize after he emerged winner. Entebbe based pro golfer Peter Sendaula scooped the Tennis tourney prize while Stanley Mukasa scooped the Darts Challenge Prize.
The 8th Edition of the marsh sponsored Chairman’s Cup attracted 205 players and 24 pros and marsh an insurance firm injected Seventy Million Shillings (Shs70m) into the tournament that traditionally only allows golfers to play with four clubs.
The Entebbe Club Chairman Dr. Tumubweinee Twinemanzi applauded Marsh for partnering and standing with Entebbe Club.
I’m happy to note that we built our relationship with Marsh and it has lasted for this long. I’m hopeful that because of our good relationship with Marsh the Chairman’s Cup will go on for another 8 years, Dr. Tumubweinee told the 19th hole gallery.
