Barely a month after two women Nasubunga Gorretti and Faith Komugisha were gang raped and murdered in Kasenyi and Kitinda zones in Katabi Town Council, residents in Abaita Ababiri woke up to the shocking news on Thursday morning after the body of a 27 year old woman identified as Aisha Kasowole, a known prostitute in Abaita Ababiri was raped and strangled to death near Pan Africa Hostel for Nkumba University. The body was found dumped in a small plantation with bruises and blood stains.
Sources have revealed that the prostitute was killed by one of her lovers with whom they have been having misunderstanding. The source disclosed that the lovebirds had a bloody fight two days ago. The body of the deceased was taken to Mulago Hospital as the manhunt of the killer gets underway.
The Kampala Metropolitan South (KMP) Commander Siraj Bakaleke visited the scene and held several meetings with Police officers in Entebbe on how best to solve the rampant rape and murder of women in Entebbe sub-region.
