Wanzala spoke to entebbenews about his day one lead;
The front nine was challenging but I managed to return a 5 over, I hit a bogey on hole 8 and a double bogey on hole 9. I regained my composure on the back nine where I skillfully hit two birdies on holes 11 and 18. Tomorrow (Friday) I hope to play the same score or less and I’ll rely on my better approach and tee-short to maintain my lead at the top”Wanzala stressed.
Wanzala will tee off with George Olayo and defending champion Said Mawa in round two. Others are;
(Ian Odokonyero, Gerald Ayella, Silver Opio), (Grace Ocic, Dickson Lagoro, Vincent Byamukama), (Toolit Brian, Deo Akope, Peter Sendaula), (Silver Opio, Phillip Kasozi, Herman Mutawe).
