Over 10 drunkards are crying crocodile tears and cursing life like hell after they were arrested in a drink driving swoop popularly known as “Kawunyemu” on Friday night. The Entebbe Police OC Traffic Eriya Kamugisha commanded the overnight raid together with his junior officers in Mpala zone, near Nkumba University and arrested drunkos like grass hoppers who were driving with lots of booze on their heads. And to make matters worse, some of the arrested drunk drivers were found without driving permits and their vehicles were impounded.
Kamugisha disclosed that the arrested Drunkos were rounded up and thrown behind bars at Entebbe Police Station and were issued with express penalty receipts to pay fines because of driving under the influence of Alcohol. Kamugisha stressed that Police will continue with the drink driving raids in order to curb on the increasing accidents in Entebbe caused by drunk drivers.
