In a world that is highly judgmental on men’s account of rape, cases of men being raped are almost unheard of but that doesn’t mean they don’t happen.
At least one was brave enough to narrate his ordeal and has sparked a viral hashtag on twitter and his story is as follows;
As life went on normally for most after a night of drinking and getting wasted , it didn’t happen to be the same for a one Danny in Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
The student recently gathered enough courage to share his story on social media using his twitter handle (@danny100000_)
He had been battling issues and as a result he got into the habit of alcohol and drugs to keep distracted.
On the fateful night, he was convinced by one of the girls he was with to stay at her hostel instead of going home since he really looked out of shape. She convinced him it wasn’t a good idea to go home wasted and bribed the askari who let them in, Danny narrated.
She had also mentioned something about having weed at hostel so he was really convinced bambi. He doesn’t recall much of the night as he just had blurry visions of reaching the hostel and talking off his fanny pack.
They shared a bed and he woke up at around 3am to loud music as he proceeded to ease himself in the bathroom where he found 4 girls smoking up. They insisted on him peeing while they were still inside the bathroom and offered him a joint. He says, he first declined but later accepted to join them.
He says he took about two puffs and the next thing he knew, he was waking up to his penis hurting due to so much friction.
He tried to confront her about what happened but she assured him no one could believe a drug user like him, that they would actually turn the story around to say he raped her. The story has caused different reactions from different people on the platform.
