The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Soldier Maj. Noel Mwesigye is in trouble and counting his moments day by day after he was dragged to court over assaulting his babe identified as Alice Namara. On May 20, 2016 the UPDF Soldier armed with a pistol and a stone allegedly tested his kickboxing skills after he caned and kicked his babe hard in the chest at the post office ward in Entebbe Town and left her oozing blood like hell in the mouth in addition to sustaining several body Injuries. After the bloody incident, the poor woman ran to the family and child protection unit at Entebbe Police Station where she reported the matter. Police summoned the UPDF officer over the matter after it hit the roof but he snubbed the summons in addition to threatening to kill the babe. He later handed himself over to the police after the babe’s family was on his throat.
The angry battered woman pinned down her lover man before Entebbe Chief Magistrate Mary Kaitesi over threatening to kill her witnesses who had been lined up to testify and expose his dirty manners in court. The victim also pointed fingers at her lover man over attacking her parents during reconciliation meetings. Mwesigye’s defense Lawyer Edward Mwiine told court that the issue between his client and his wife is worrying and asked court to allow him meet both Mwesigye and his wife for reconciliation.
It’s not yet clear what could have sparked off the bloody fight between the married couple however in her reply, the Magistrate referred the matter to the court Mediator Peruth Tushemereire to reconcile the couple before adjourning the matter to 1 August 2016.
