    Playing Golf Handicap 13, United Nations Consultant Greg Patterson carded 37 points to emerge overall winner at the annual Entebbe Golf Club Rotary fundraiser that was held on Saturday. Greg’s victory earned him a trip to Dubai in the Business Class courtesy of Emirates Airlines. Njeri Kinyoho emerged overall winner in the Ladies category with 35 points. Her success also earned her a trip to Dubai in the economy class courtesy of Emirates Airlines.

    Shortly after being crowned Champion hailed Rotary Club for their Charitable work.

    “I’m happy that I won though I wasn’t expecting it. I would like to thank Rotary Club for their charitable work. They do a lot of good work in different communities”, a smiling Greg told entebbenews.

    Deco Mutebi, Josef Salani and Enock Nuwagaba topped Group A, B and C with 32, 37 and 35 points respectively. Irene Nakalembe and Gertrude Kityo topped Group A and B in the ladies category with 33 and 25 points. Tom Byarugaba won the Best Rotarian Golfer prize with 28 points.

    All the proceeds from the Entebbe Golf Fundraising tournament will go to treating children with heart defects at the Mulago Heart Institute. The tournament attracted 71 players and was championed by the Rotary Club of Entebbe.
