The Uganda Cubs (Under 17) National team have today defeated Fields of Dreams FC of Wakiso 11-1 in a build up match played at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
Shaban Muhammed, playing his first game since the team regrouped in Njeru netted four times. Shaban was introduced in the game when the team returned from the first half break. The other scorers were Bida Ezra, Nsubuga Badru, Mugume Ashiraf (2 goals), Lusimbula Peter and Okot Steven. The Cubs will have their last friendly game on Sunday when they play Jinja Ex-players at the FUFA Technical Centre.
Matia Lule’s boys will face Zambia in the third round first leg of the Africa U-17 championship in Lusaka on Friday 12th September, 2014.
