The Uganda Police force has signed a major security deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Led by Brig. Gen. DV Esmael Ahmadi Moghadam a seven man delegation arrived in Uganda on Wednesday 15th October. They were received by IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura at Entebbe Old Airport.
“During the 5 day visit, the high ranking security delegation will exchange information and technical capabilities in fighting human trafficking, Counter Terrorism, Narcotics and Cybercrime, Forensics, training, ICT, Canine, Traffic, Field Force, Logistics and Engineering and Police Health services”, Police Publicist Fred Enaga said.
“There are already achievements with the construction of the polyclinic at Naguru. The visit therefore, will widen and further broaden the level of mutual cooperation between the two police institutions and the countries at large” Enaga added.
At the end of the visit, the two police institutions will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to increase the security cooperation between Uganda and Iran.
