Two notorious robbers identified as Ali Juma 29, and Moses Kagimu 43, both residents of Katabi/Busambaga zone have been jailed 5years in Kigo prison over aggravated robbery.
The duo was sentenced by Dr. Justice Joseph Murangira after prosecution led by Senior Resident State Attorney Julius Tuhairwe adduced sufficient evidence implicating them to robbing Agnes Dropina Lee cash worth Shs1.5m plus two ATM cards.
The convicts who were armed with machetes committed the offence on 16, July, 2012 at Katabi/Busambaga zone in Entebbe Municipality where they robbed Agnes Dropina her hard earned money amounting to Shs 1.5m plus two ATM cards.
While delivering his ruling, Dr. Justice Murangira noted that cases of aggravated robbery are rampant in court’s jurisdiction thus locals need a peaceful atmosphere free of robbers who terrorize innocent people.
