Sudan Vice President Mohammed Abdalla Hasabo is a lucky man who should be praising Allah for saving his Life after narrowly escaping a nasty incident at Entebbe International Airport VIP Lounge Last week on Sunday. The escalator at the VIP Lounge experienced a malfunction while in motion as Sudanese vice-president (VP) Mohammed Abdalla Hasabo and his delegation were ascending to the lounge.
Sources at Entebbe Airport disclosed that the escalator went in reverse as the VIPs were ascending. Sudanese Vice President together with his delegation and the Ugandan Minister escaped unhurt in the incident that occurred on Sunday Night. Two electricians on night duty at the lounge were picked and briefly detained by the Aviation Police for questioning over the embarrassing incident. The two electricians were later released after it emerged that the incident was due to a technical problem.
Meanwhile CAA Publicist Eugene Ingudura has dismissed reports that the escalator has been experiencing several problems adding that all equipment at the Airport are regularly monitored and maintained.
