Spain has been one of the most affected countries by the pandemic, tens of thousands of Spaniards have died many in tragic circumstances of isolation and loneliness. Spain has suffered socially, emotionally, economically, and psychologically because of the pandemic”, the Spanish embassy’s charge de affairs revealed.
Health Minister Hon. Jane Acheng revealed to date Uganda has received 44 consignments of covid-19 vaccines since March 2021 and added that the government of Uganda is glad to receive the consignment of 1,951, 200 doses of Johnson and Johnson covid-19 vaccines.

To date, Uganda has vaccinated 14, 540, 059 people with the first dose representing 65 percent, 7,924,329 people are fully vaccinated with two doses and 20,758 people have received booster doses. I appeal to the district health teams to progressively avail the vaccines and mobilize the population in their catchment areas when vaccines have been made available. It is our collective responsibility to avoid any other covid-19 wave which has the potential to ravage the country and this can be prevented by getting vaccinated and following the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
