A senior army officer attached to the Special Forces Command and the Entebbe based Oxygen bar manager are breathing behind bars after they were arrested over a dirty deal . Julius Mugume, a warrant officer to the elite forces and Richard Tumwebaze were last week on Tuesday arrested like grass hoppers after they cracked a multi million shillings Ivory deal with a city businessman we are yet to identify. The crafty fellas were arrested by plain clothed police officers from Mackies bar and restaurant around Kamwokya trading centre where they were cracking the juicy lucrative deal from and were caged at the Kira police station. The duo were arrested in a botched deal after claimed to be having over thirty kilograms of ivory that they were vending like dry beans in white kaveera . The National Resource Conservation Network Publicist, Laban Mubendo confirmed the suspected ivory smugglers’ arrest under file no. 59/17/05/2015 and confessed to squeezing theie balls to reveal the money bags behind their dirty deal.
