Wakiso Resident District Commissioner Ian Kyeyune and the office of the president are both investigating a shoddy land row deal that saw several families evicted from their land by a government owned secondary school facility under the Ministry of Education without being compensated with a
single penny and coin. The RDC on the 18th April 2016 called for an urgent meeting with the
Entebbe DPC Godfrey Nisiima together with other local authorities including the area LC1 chief Paul Zikuliza after a one Gyagenda Nicodem with others were evicted from their land by the Entebbe Comprehensive Secondary School without compensation. The RDC’s meeting followed a
complaint to the principal private secretary to the president, Sandra Ndyomugenyi over the eviction order under civil suit no 185/2013. The land matter was reported to the office of president after the school fenced-off their claimed land without fully compensating for the damaged properties it razed down before erecting a ‘netted’ fence . The disgruntled families for the last couple of years have been running up and down to different offices while demanding for their compensation but nothing has yielded fruit until they reported the matter to the office of the president.(By Entebbe News Media)
