Nalongo RDC Rose Kirabira is suffering from intensifying headache and stress after the Katabi Town Council Boda Boda Entrepreneurs Association dragged her to the Entebbe Chief Magistrates court over illegally closing their office premises. The Boda Boda Association members through Musangala Advocates and solicitors have sued RDC Kirabira along with Agaba Paul, Meddie Katende, Kigozi Abubaker, Kakooza Saddam, Ndaisaba Paul and Katabi Town Council over illegally banning their Association plus shutting down their office premises and confiscating their Shs750, 000 cash.
In the Intentions to Sue and which entebbenews has obtained a copy, the Katabi Town Council Boda Boda Entrepreneurs claim that on February 13, 2017, RDC Kirabira alleged that they were practicing business illegally without her knowledge and didn’t know their existence and presence in Entebbe and therefore issued a directive to immediately close the office.
The Katabi Town Council Boda Boda Entrepreneurs are demanding RDC Kirabira recognizes and immediately opens their office and want a permanent injunction restraining RDC Kirabira and her accused from interfering in their matters. The members want their money to be refunded immediately. The members have given RDC Kirabira and her accused 15 days to file a defence or else court passes Judgement in their absence.
