
Hundreds of Mourners from all walks of life converged at the residence of the Late Jane Frances Ssempuma in Kitala zone, Katabi Town Council on Tuesday to give her a befitting send off after she succumbed to pressure on Friday aged 73.
Jane Frances Ssempuma was a prominent catholic businesswoman in Entebbe and an active member in the Catholic Church. Members of the Mpala parish catholic Clergy described the Late Jane Frances Ssempuma as a humble and devoted Catholic who actively contributed to church projects and inculcated catholic values in her children. The Late Jane Frances Ssempuma was also an active member in the “Kiwamirembe” Wednesday fellowship group and “Tusitukire Wamu” women catering group until her death.
The Late Jane Frances Ssempuuma who was actively organizing her son Jimmy Ssempuuma’s wedding slated to take place this month didn’t live to see her dream come true.

Justice Remmy Kasule, a personal friend to the deceased, described the Late Jane Frances Ssempuma as a true Ugandan who loved her catholic faith.
“The late Jane Frances Ssempuma was a true Ugandan who loved her catholic faith; she walked the talk and lived an exemplary life which we must emulate. After her husband’s death in 1987, Jane Frances Ssempuma put her misery aside and worked hard to raise her Children. I appeal to the Children to remain united and carry on her good works”, Justice Remmy Kasule told mourners.
Members from the Democratic Party who included Katabi Town Council Chairman Ronald Kalema, former MP Busiro South Joseph Balikuddembe, former MP Aspirant Busiro South Stephen Sekigozi and other DP members graced the send off of the Late Jane Frances Ssempuma and laid a cloth in the symbolic Democratic Party Green and white colors on her casket to bid farewell to one of their own party members.
The Late Jane Frances Ssempuma was born in 1944 and in 1969 she got married to Joseph Ssempuuma who died in 1987.

The late Jane Frances Ssempuuma graduated as a profession teacher from Nkozi teacher training college and taught at St. Thereza Kisubi Girls Primary School from 1967 to 1981. In 1981 to 1987 she ventured into import business in Dubai. The Late Jane Frances Ssempuuma also ventured into other businesses including bridal hair dressing, farming and catering services. She is survived by ten children and several grand children.
