Renowned music producer D’Mario, real name Kabejja Mario, has expressed his disappointment towards the artists he has worked with for not supporting him during his darkest times.

D’Mario was arrested close to two weeks back and has been struggling in Luzira Prison following a misunderstanding during a bar night out.

Just a few days before his arrest, he had worked as a production manager at Fefe Bussi’s concert, but was surprised that Fefe Bussi didn’t show up to support him.

Reflecting on the events that surrounded the night of his arrest, D’Mario said he had gone to watch a live band in one of the bars before a brawl broke out, and when the police car came, they rounded him up.

The news of his arrest was brought to light by DJ Rannkx, who is Feffe Bussi’s driver and personal DJ, who publicly called out the entertainment fraternity to help D’Mario get out of prison, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

“For all my friends whose songs I worked on have all not appeared, not even in court. No one showed up even in prison. I never saw any artist apart from watching them on TV rallying people and telling them I needed help. None of them has supported me. It is only my family that has helped me. I think Feffe Bussi knew because there was no way he couldn’t. I didn’t get any coins from what they said they collected,” he said.

Despite spending weeks behind bars, Producer D’Mario is glad to finally be out of trouble.

“But all in all, God knows best. Good thing I’m out, and I can sit here because I didn’t know when I would get out. It didn’t hurt that they didn’t visit me because I know that is how people are. It bothered me because I had never experienced it,” he said.
