Uganda Police force Spokesperson Asan Kasingye has beefed up security at his residence located in Katabi –Namate zone in Entebbe Municipality with a Police post. The police post has been set up after Asan Kasingye (man of God) getting several anonymous calls from unknown persons threatening to bump him off like his predecessor the Late Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
These days Asan Kasingye (Man of God) fears for his life and he has two police body guards who guard him while he is jogging.
While officially opening the Police Post on Tuesday, the Entebbe Municipality DPC Godfrey Ninsiima denied allegations that the Police Post has been set up only to protect Asan Kasingye. Ninsiima said that the Police post will serve all the residents of Katabi-Namate and Kasingye being a resident of the area he also enjoys advantage of the police Post.
“The Police Post which has been named Hindu Temple Police Post is timely because goons and bandits have been terrorizing Katabi – Namate residents especially women. We have been getting reports of goons pick-pocketing people and snatching hand bags and mobile Phones including raping women. I call upon all the residents of Katabi – Namate and the Public to always collaborate with the Police in information gathering and Joint Patrols”, Ninsiima stated.
Cadet ASP Timothy Himbisa has been appointed as OC in Charge to man the Police Post which is located near Asan Kasingye’s residence.
