Police in Entebbe on Friday dispersed over twenty NRM Party youth forum leaders and supporters with tear gas after illegally camping around the state house. The group of different NRM Party supporters from Wakiso district where dispersed by anti-riot police after threatening to invade statehouse. The group headed by Burole Hudson was dispersed from the children’s park where they had camped for three days while demanding to meet President Yoweri Museveni on different paining issues and matters including youth unemployment and the youth livelihood fund.
The police intervened after the NRM Party leaders were threatening to set a blaze the yellow party T-shirts on addition to blocking off the road to statehouse. The angry party supporters were later cooled down by the private secretary to the president in charge of youth Hillary Musoke who promised them an appointment with President Museveni before the month ends.
