Residents in Bugonga Zone, Entebbe Municipality are boiling with anger and bitterness over the Bugonga OC Police Station only identified as Matsiko whom they have pinned over extorting different sums of money from suspects including harassing them. The bitter residents pinned down the police officer over using brutal means while arresting suspects during a heated meeting that was held on Monday. The residents pinned down the Police officer over extorting dime from suspects ranging from Shs50,000 – Shs150,000 plus arming crime preventers who have been harassing the locals like hell. The locals revealed that the Police Officer has been ordering suspects to cough different sums of money under the guise of erecting a Police post in the Area.
However DPC Godfrey Ninsiima distanced himself from the Police officer’s actions and revealed he will be transferred to another Police Post as investigations commence.
