    PEPSI BEACH SOCCER 2014/15 QUARTER FINALS: Nkumba Select Sets Up MUBS Semi-Final.

    Nkumba Select advanced to the semifinals of the Pepsi Beach Soccer 2014/15 league after defeating YMCA 4-3 in the quarterfinals that were held at Lido Beach on Sunday. Douglas Mugaga scored twice while Mugerwa Yasser and Roch Somoka each scored one goal to hand Nkumba Select a decisive victory over YMCA. Derrick Tekko (2) and Patrick Kaddu (1) scored the consolation goals for YMCA. Unbeaten Nakawa based MUBS clobbered Kampala International University (KIU) 9-2. Lukooya Baker and Brian Nkuubi scored hat tricks while Martin Bugembe and Joachim Golooba netted a brace and a single goal respectively.

    Biggest Shocks:

    Real Galacticos sent Hurriken Group leaders Kayunga Town Council packing after 6-3 win. Said Latif scored a hat trick while John Revita, Musa Ssali and Ahmed Mohamed each scored one goal to advance to the semi finals. Kayunga’s consolation goals came from Hamim Semakula who scored twice and Peter Wasswa who scored one goal.

    The other shocker of the day was the exit of St. Lawrence University who finished second with 33 points in the Hurriken group.

    They lost to stormers 5-3. Nick Katende scored a hat trick while Mathias Kigonya scored twice for stormers to advance to the semifinals. Emma Kalyowa’s two goals and Kigonya’s own goal gave St. Lawrence the consolation goals.

    Elsewhere in the relegation match Talented got a walk – over after Braza Braza failed to appear.  The semi final, third place off and Finals will be played on Sunday June 07.
