The Entebbe NRM Youth leaders Robert Tibamanya, Wasswa Husseinn, Arnold Mubiru, Joshua Kutesa and LC5 Councilor Richard Wamala Lule are bobbing shoulders high plus smiling from the bottom of their hearts after they narrowly survived going to Kigo Prison. These fellas were on Wednesday convicted of assaulting and beating up three Journalists Kigongo Sebalamu (Bukedde TV), Godfrey Ssempijja (Bukedde News Paper) and CBS’s Kakooza William during last year’s bloody Youth polls that were held at Entebbe Municipal Council. The Entebbe Grade One Magistrate Mastulah Mulondo instructed the NRM Youth leaders to pay a Fifteen Million shillings fine (Shs15m) in addition to ordering them to embark on Community work for thirty days or else they rot in Kigo Prison for six months.
After learning of the Shs 15m fine, Hon. Rose Tumusiime plus other top NRM Bosses including Nsangi LC3 Chairman Hajji Kiyemba Abdul, Barbara Barungi and Molly Kamukama the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to President Museveni fought tooth and nail and raised the cash in less than an hour. The NRM Youth leaders walked out of Entebbe Court cells as free men and survived boarding the prisons Bus to Kigo ‘University’ to feed on Posho and beans including digging from morning to evening.
