Speaking to entebbenews Nkumba University Dean of Students Chris Kasasa disclosed that for one to be nominated for the Guild Presidency he or she must have good academic grades, be morally upright and co-operative in co-curricular activities like sports.

“We also consider the student’s temper, Character and confidence” Kasasa stressed.

Kasasa also revealed that the University will only allow students with Authority Cards and have fully registered for the current semester that commenced in February to vote.

“We opted for Authority cards to avoid non-students from voting” he added.

According to Kasasa the Electoral Commission will provide Ballot papers and the voting process will start at 8am and end at 5pm and then the voting counting process will commence. Each candidate will be required to present three polling agents on the Election Day.

The students will also be electing Members of Parliament and ministers for their different houses and schools.
