Out of 38 players who participated in the February Monthly Mug Golf Tournament at the par 71 lake side Entebbe Golf Club saw Muhereza Alan sail to victory at the castle Lite sponsored event. Playing golf Hand cap 06 he carded70 Nett to emerge victorious.
“I hit one double bogey, four bogeys and a birdie and the rest were pars. I kept my composure and confidence and this handed me the victory” Alan stated.
Playing Golf Handi cap 05 Ongwech Morris emerged as Group A winner with 85 Nett. Kiwanuka Ssubi carded 72 Nett to emerge as Group B winner while Walusimbi Serwano finished as runners up with 73 Nett.
Kabuchu Alfred carded 73 Nett to emerge as Group C winner while Opwonya Daniel returned 77 Nett to finish as Runners up.
Nabukenya Diana returned 71 Nett to emerge as overall winner in the Ladies category while Nancy Muraya finished as Runners up with 76 Nett.
The guest winner of the tournament was Kagaba Muhumuza who carded 90 Nett.
Former sponsors Orange Telecom discontinued their sponsorship of the monthly mug tournaments after it was acquired by Africell Telecom last year.
