
MTN Uganda through their annual MTN Staff Volunteerism initiatives donated a number of assorted scholastic materials to Lake Victoria School under their 21 Days of Y’ello Care 2017, an initiative which encourages MTN Staff across the world to support impact social development initiatives with in the communities they work and live.
MTN staff identified Lake Victoria School as a community partner and donated a number of scholastic Materials including Teachers reference Books (5/6/7), Pupils Books (5/6/7), Text Books (assorted), exercise books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and chalk. Other items that the MTN Staff donated included rakes, wheel barrows, dustbins
The MTN Staff also painted the school’s Library and Main hall and participated in a community cleanup exercise and erected talking compound sign posts in the school.

The handover of the scholastic materials was held last week on Wednesday under the theme: Investing In Education For All.
Thembi Mkhonto who represented the MTN Chief Technical Officer Gordian Kyomukama that the MTN Staff Volunteerism initiative aims at empowering and equipping learners in communities where MTN operates to access good quality Education and several primary schools nationwide have benefited from campaign.
Stephen Nabende, the Lake Victoria School Headmaster hailed MTN Staff for their initiative in ensuring that primary schools across the country get quality Education. He called on all the old boys and Old Girls to borrow a leaf from MTN Staff and support the School’s initiatives and programs.
