Buganda road grade one Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu has remanded to Kitalya Prison the Kawempe North Member of Parliament elect Mohammed Segirinya to Kitalya Prison until 8th of next month.

Ssegirinya was arrested yesterday by police in the city centre.

Ssegirinya appeared before court on Tuesday afternoon where he was charged with inciting violence, which charges he denied.

Ssegirinya aka Mr Update was arrested on Monday in Kampala where he is alleged to have participated in a protest seeking for immediate release of all detained National Unity Platform (NUP) members.
