The women who have been undertaking classes for close to three months at Lake Victoria School acquired different Entrepreneurship skills in baking cakes, hair dressing, making bags and books among others.
Seninde who presided over the Entebbe Women’s day celebrations that were held on Friday at Kiwafu Play Ground congratulated all the women who sacrificed their time to acquire new skills and indicated that the best two students from each skills category will be taken for further training and will thereafter teach their fellow women in their respective communities.
I would like to thank all the women who sacrificed their time to learn new entrepreneurship skills. I call upon more women and youth to embrace such entrepreneurship courses and programs because it is only way we can alleviate poverty in our homesteads. Through the Seninde Foundation School, we shall continue to organize the Entrepreneurship courses annually, Seninde stated.
Seninde warned irresponsible parents who have abandoned their responsibilities. She noted that nowadays parents care-less about their children and to make matters worse they have failed to teach their daughters on how to use sanitary pads.

On her part Hon. Rose Tumusiime hailed Hon. Seninde through her Seninde foundation for supporting women in Entebbe learn different Entrepreneurship skills. Hon. Tumusiime said that entrepreneurship skills are the way to go adding that multi-skilled people stand better chances of employing themselves.
Meanwhile RDC Nalongo Rose Kirabira revealed that there are so many irresponsible parents in Entebbe who need to be sensitized on their roles with an iron hand adding that many of them are a nuisance. RDC Kirabira noted that while the youth get a Lion’s share of the government Youth Livelihood funds, women under the Uganda Women’s Entrepreneurship program (UWEP) also need more financial support.
She revealed that community Development officers (CDO’s) connive with the youth to misappropriate youth Livelihood Funds and added that their time is up.
