Entebbe Municipality Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul is in trouble after cracking a juicy secret deal over the Manyago housing estate where thousands are set to be evicted . The town boss is under fire after area residents pointing fingers at him over brokering the secret lucrative deal to evict thousands of families from the government owned housing estate land. This follows after the mayor halted and suspended the purchasing process of the government housing facilities located a few meters from Entebbe Secondary School. Kayanja stopped sitting tenants from buying and redeveloping the housing estates after cracking a secret deal with a private investor to develop the condemned housing units into modern storied housing estates with shopping malls plus arcades which has hurt the sitting tenants to vote Kayanja’s rival and former Division ‘B’ LC 3 Chairman Joseph Ssesanga for Mayor-ship than voting the same person who will frustrate them to the bone marrow. The Manyago housing spokesperson, Henry Oketch pinned and pointed fingers at Mayor Kayanja at a meeting in Bugonga area last weekend over plotting the estate deal and forgetting the poor sitting tenants. Residents are bitter with the municipality authorities over the fishy deal and yet they would have been given first priority to buy the small housing units they have occupied for the last couple of years instead of throwing them out like rabbits with their little grown kids.(By Entebbe News Media)
