Mayor Kayanja has urged Boda Boda riders in Entebbe Municipality to desist from misusing their whoppers following the recent publication of the HIV/AIDS Report by Ministry of Health indicating that the killer disease is still rampant with the youth also getting infected. Mayor Kayanja who made the appeal during the Entebbe Division (B) Boda Boda Association (EDIBBA) Annual General Meeting that was held at the Leisure Park on Wednesday appealed to the Boda Boda riders to zip up their whoppers and instead focus on their jobs and investing their cash in other profitable ventures such as buying plots of land. He noted that most Boda Boda riders have a tendency of womanizing and chewing all sorts of babes and women without wearing condoms or tubes and as a result many have gotten infected.
Meanwhile Deputy Mayor Richard Sekyondo revealed that Municipal Council has rolled out an Adult literacy program to allow Boda Boda riders learn how to speak English and acquire computer skills. Sekyondo said that the trainings will be held at Chang Sha and the Boda Boda riders will pay a small fee to acquire the skills.
Meanwhile officials from Verma Company, a Motorbike importing Company in Kampala urged the Boda Boda riders to open accounts in Post Bank and acquire Boda Boda Loans at Shs4.6m which will be paid in a period of 18months.
