Overall Winner: Ronald Bukenya (72,71) 143 Gross.
Overall Winner Pros: Peter Sendaula (75, 71) 146 Gross.
Playing 36 holes, Lugazi based golfer Ronnie Bukenya returned 143 gross to emerge overall winner of the 7th Edition of the Entebbe Open that was held on Saturday at the par 71 Entebbe golf course. Bukenya beat other 186 players to lift the coveted trophy. The Handicap 00 was also named the national team captain and will lead his eight other team mates at the East African Golf Challenge that will be held from November 18-21 in the Rwandan Capital Kigali. The team sets off on Monday to Kigali where they will be defending their title they won last year at Entebbe Club.

Kasese’s Happy Robert also on the national team carded 146 gross to finish in the first runners up position. Entebbe club artisan Samuel Kato was second runner up with 148 gross.
In the Nett category, Twinemanzi Tumubweine carded 75 nett to emerge as group A winner. He beat Aaron Mugomola and Joseph Galiwango on count back who settled for 1st and 2nd runner up slots.
Frank Kyambadde was Group B (H/C 13-18) winner with 68 Nett while William Mutyaba was group C (H/C 17-28) winner with 64 Nett. In the ladies category Pamela Tumusiime emerged winner with 68 Nett.
Peter Sendaula Wins Professional Category.
Playing 36 holes, Entebbe based Pro Peter Sendaula returned 146 gross to emerge winner in the pros category. Sendaula carded 75 and 71 on Thursday and Friday to emerge winner. Silver Opio and George Olayo (Green Keeper) both based at Entebbe Club took second and third place after they returned identical results of 147 Gross.
Over 36 holes, Ssendaula registered 5 birdies, three of these came on day one (holes 8, 11 and 15) before the second day birdies on 15 and 16.
Coming to day two, i was chasing the leaders (Silver Opio and Brian Mwesigwa) for four strokes, which i managed to catch up on day two when i minimized the errors the my putting on the greens Sendaula told Kawowo sports.
Sendaula and seven other pros will share a prize kitty of UGX 6million courtesy of sponsors Castle lite.
Sendaula managed to pick up the pieces after the loss of his 11 months son who died a few days ago.
“I would like to thank the Entebbe Club management for the assistance accorded to me when I lost my child a few days ago. It was a devastating moment for me but I remained strong and participated in the Entebbe Open Pros category” Sendaula told the 19th hole gallery. This is Sendaula’s first ever title since turning Professional.
