Shafik Kakooza the Tournament chairman and organizer hailed African Express Airways for sponsoring the tournament and called on government to invest more in sports.
I would like to thank African Express Airways for sponsoring this year’s edition and it is my humble appeal that they continue sponsoring all the football and netball holiday programs. As organizers our aim is to discover and nurture talent in the young stars and we need government to continue investing more in sports. This year’s edition has attracted 50 schools compared to the previous editions, Shafik said.
Clinton Jagwe the African Express AirWays Operations Manager Uganda congratulated all the participating teams and pledged to continue injecting resources in the league.
We as African Express Airways are happy to be associated with the Entebbe Holiday football and Netball camp. Part of our corporate social responsibility is to give back to our customers by engaging in different projects that help the community. We’ve injected USD20,000 in this year’s Edition to cater for the operational expenses and we shall continue injecting more resources and funds in the Holiday program, Jagwe assured entebbenews.
