    Kabale: NUP Vice Chairperson Arrested for Defacing Museveni Posters

    Innocent Naturinda, the Kabale National Unity Platform Vice chairperson has been arrested.

    Naturinda is being accused by police of defacing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s campaign posters.

    Brian Ampaire, the Kabale district police commander says Naturinda was on Tuesday arrested after he reported himself to Kabale police station.

    Ampaire says the suspect committed the offence one week ago and was being hunted by police until today when he handed himself over.

    He says Naturinda will be charged with malicious damage, criminal trespass, and annoying the person of the president

    This is the second NUP leader to be arrested in Kabale. About two weeks ago, Derrick Katebire the Kigezi region NUP secretary general was arrested by police over an illegal assembly.
