Former Veteran LCIV Councilor Rose Tumusiime Bikaako is smiling from the bottom of her heart after upgrading from benching in Municipal Council to sitting in the House of Lords. The NRM Party diehard was last week on Wednesday sworn in as Entebbe’s first female Member of Parliament after she caned and walloped twelve other aspirants in the February Parliamentary race including DP’s Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa. She was accompanied by her Daddy Mzee Robert Bikaako a senior citizen in Entebbe, her best friend Peninah Kasaija, her uncle Kahirita and all her kids to the swearing ceremony. Her supporters caused stampede at the parliamentary premises after they were charged up and flying high like bees over the sweet news. The happy fellas took matters in their own hands and were screaming on top of their voices and dancing lame around parliament in addition to blocking Kira Municipality MP and FDC mouth piece Ibrahim Semujju Nganda’s convoy and Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Sekikubo’s convoy. The poor men bargained with Tumusiime’s supporters for space to speak and address their own supporters. The humble woman caused storm along Entebbe Road after she travelled like a VIP delegate with a police lead car warning other motorists to back off the road for her motorcade. The holy woman organized a drink-up party for her diehard fans at the Entebbe Children’s park and warned all her haters including Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa to sober up and stop being diversionary.
