Entebbe F.C clinched their ninth win in the Fufa Big League after they demolished struggling Kasese New Villa 4-0 at their Bugonga fisheries Football ground on Thursday. Pengere Ibrahim put Entebbe FC ahead with an excellent shot in the 5th minute before Ddumba Sadala doubling the lead in the 29th minute. Entebbe returned in the second half with renewed strength and vigour and added two more goals through Joseph Wamala and Richard Kalema who scored in the 57th and 89 minute. Entebbe’s charismatic forward Abdul Hussein kept Kasese New Villa’s defensive pack busy throughout the match though many of his shots were off target. His efforts to have his name on the score sheet proved futile after he was caught offside on three occasions. Entebbe snatched another clean chance to make it five but Richard Kalema was wasteful on his part.

Kasese’s Sylvester Bwambale tried his level best to score a consolation goal for his side but his shot hit the woodwork. Entebbe who will play their last match of the season against Kireka United on Saturday May 14, 2016 moved to 6th on the log with 31 points. Proline is top of the Rwenzori log with 50 points while Kirinya Jinja S.S and Masavu are second and third with 49 and 43 respectively.
I’m happy that we have paid back Kasese New Villa in full force. We lost 2-1 to them in the first round after they were awarded a very controversial penalty. We can now smile because we’ve survived the relegation axe, Entebbe FC Manager Mugisha Abdul ‘Kagisa’ told entebbenews.
