
Entebbe FC succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Proline at the Bugonga football ground on Tuesday. Entebbe Goalie Peter Seluwu was on the receiving end as Proline’s Edrisa Lubega, Ali Gift and Joseph Mandela each netted a goal apiece. Entebbe failed to grab a consolation goal after Abraham Ndugwa had his header go off target while his shot in the 18-yard box was saved by goalie Said Keni. Entebbe skipper Sunday Mukiibi was red carded after he had a bitter exchange with referee Jude Kalemela while Roch Somoka was sent off in the last dying minutes of the match after he had sustained an injury. He fell on his chest after failing to head a set piece into the back of the net.
Proline Coach Baker Mbowa attributed his side’s victory to adequate preparations.
I would like thank the players for their strong mentality and team work. For us every match is a final and we always prepare adequately well. Mbowa told entebbenews.
Meanwhile Entebbe FC Coach Richard Makumbi attributed the loss to injuries and inadequate preparations.
It was a tough match for us. The players weren’t coordinating well. a disappointed Makumbi told entebbenews.
