City Business man Sseruma Geoffrey a resident of Mpala zone in Entebbe Municipality is counting losses after a mysterious fire gutted his multimillion carpentry workshop located close to Nkumba University on Thursday. An eyewitness and a carpenter at the workshop disclosed that the he tried to put out the mysterious fire after it broke out at around 1130pm but he was overpowered and decided to scream to alert neighbors who poured in large numbers and managed to save a few items and furniture from the workshop. Fire brigade from Entebbe Police, Kisubi Police and Kajjansi Police station swung into action and poured lot’s of water to put out the fire. At the time of the incident the business man had retired to his home located in Mpala Zone. His close friends rung him and broke down in tears after he was told the devastating news. He rushed to scene and could only watch as his hard earned business crumbled in a matter of minutes. The mysterious fire has left a lot of unanswered questions. All the neighbors staying close to the carpentry workshop escaped unhurt.
