The Democratic Party has resolved  to push  former parliamentary aspirant Micheal Kale to carry the  flag ahead of the 2021 general scientific elections for the parliamentary seat in Entebbe.

This follows after a battle-up between the former parliamentary aspirant Kale and one Juma Mukasa for the MP seat currently occupied by Hon Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako of the NRM party.

The Democratic Party parliamentary seat fell vacant after former parliamentary contestant Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa quit the party and joined the people power  movement under the NUP platform.

Kakembo  quit the Democratic Party for a youthful party headed by Hon Robert Kyagulanyi populary known as Bobby Wine after over 20yrs in the party leadership and structures.

His  departure to join the youth party took the democratic party by surprises after banking on Kakembo for all these years as one of their best political brands for the parliamentary seat.

Two names were fronted to replace former democratic fallen soldier  Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa. The democratics zero-ed on  making the best choice  between Kale Micheal and Juma Mukasa to replace the ‘lost goat’.

In the 2016 general elections, Kale Micheal participated as an independent candidate and garnered 338 votes in a heated election with several others where  NRM party Rosemary Tumusime Bikaako was declared winner with 8786 votes beating her closest opponent Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa(8337 votes) with  others including FDC’s Gitta Alex 2371 votes,Madinah Zalwango 1874 votes,Walusimbi Abubaker 1635 votes, Patience Mubangizi 1063 votes,Charles Kirumira 872 votes,John  Whyte Baleke 541 votes,Achilles Kiwanuka 503 votes, Amon Reeves Muzoora (RIP)212 votes, Arthur Ssenfuma 214 votes and one Ambrose Kantutu 135 votes.
