Former LC 4 Councilor Richard Kabanaku is back on the political scene after a couple of years of silence with no game.
The Katabi village man has been missing in action and watching politics from the perimeter wall fence after serving his tenure with former division chairman Desire Kityo.
Kabanaku last appeared on the political scene 15yrs ago and since then he has been keeping a low profile. He quit politics to push on with other obligations including family affairs.
As the political tempers get boiling up ahead of the 2021 scientific general elections, Kabanaku will be on the ballot paper with several contesting for the divisional chairmanship at Zone ‘A’.
The divisional seat has attracted several candidates including outgoing councilor Andrew Wani (DP), former Div ‘A’ deputy chairman Achilles Kiwanuka (People Power), Scholastica Baguma (NRM) plus others battling to replace outgoing divisional chairman Micheal Kabwama Mutebi.
The outgoing division ‘A’ chairman Kabwama Mutebi of the NRM party will be contesting for the municipality mayorship currently occupied by Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul also seeking 3rd in the 2021 general elections.
