Former Enhas Documents Officer Odong Silva will be laid to rest on Friday in his ancestral home in Kachumbala Kumi District. According his to Widow she disclosed that Silva passed away last night on Tuesday February 24 at 11pm after being hospitalized for a month in Grade A Hospital.
“At the time of his death he was on oxygen fighting for his life. He kept telling me to prepare for his death and I would comfort and strengthen him that he wasn’t going to die” Silva’s widow said as she tried to hold back her tears.
“He hasn’t been a happy man ever since he was forced to retire from Enhas mid last year. He has been having so many stressful thoughts and I believe this might have accelerated his death” silva’s widow stressed.
“At one point he nearly committed suicide. He wanted to throw himself from the bed.” Silva’s Widow added.
Odong Silva will be remembered as one of Enhas longest serving staff having worked with East African Airlines, Uganda Airlines and later Entebbe Handling Services Limited. Odong Silva leaves behind a widow and young children.
Mean While mourners have gathered at the deceased’s home along Kiwafu Road former Uganda Airline Quarters Entebbe .
Former and current Enhas Staff have been sending in their Condolence Messages on Face book since morning.
