A fire suspected to have been caused by a short circuit gutted the Entebbe Stages Welfare Sacco Society offices formerly Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA) in the wee hours of Friday morning at around 1am. The office premises located a few meters away from the Kitooro Taxi Park were blazed to ashes including several documents and files that belonged to the now defunct UTODA. Entebbe Police Fire Brigade arrived one hour later and successfully put out the fire.
The Entebbe Stages Welfare Sacco Society Treasurer Hamidu Sebunya disclosed that the short circuit happened in his office but quickly added that the Sacco documents were saved and that they will continue operating as another comprehensive plan is being sought.

The Entebbe Stages Welfare Sacco Society brings together all Taxi Drivers and conductors operating different Entebbe Stages.
