Police in Entebbe is hunting down for a one Willys Mwekawo, a Kenyan National working with UN as a Data Collection officer and Tamasha Bar Boss and a one Ronnie after they assaulted their neighbor and Big Brokers Manager Joy Kuteesa Mugisa in the wee hours of Friday Night. Joy Kuteesa Mugisa claims Willys Mwekawo, owner Tamasha Bar located along Berkeley road together with his drunken goons stormed her apartment in the wee hours of Friday night claiming that they wanted to have a one on one discussion with her over reforming their notorious bar that is well known for noise pollution.
On opening the door, Joy Kuteesa Mugisa claims that willys Mwekawo together with his drunken goons started throwing beer bottles and stones at her in addition to laughing on top of their voices and warning her to back off. Joy Kuteesa Mugisa was on Saturday morning rushed to Entebbe Grade B Hospital after she sustained abdominal injuries and was immediately put on drip after she collapsed.
For the last couple of months, Joy Kuteesa Mugisa and other residents in the neighborhood have been warning Tamasha Bar Boss Willys Mwekawo to ensure that his bar operates in a descent way and avoid making noise but he has failed to listen.
Residents in the neighbourhood along Berkeley road are spending sleepless nights because Willys Mwekawo and his drunken goons behave like bandits and play lots of loud and uncontrolled music in addition to shouting after getting drunk.
We have established that Willys Mwekawo established his Tamasha Bar along Berkeley road after he was chased away from Bugonga zone by residents who were fed up with his noise making bar.
Suspected culprits Willys Mwekawo and a one Ronnie face Assault charges at Entebbe Police Station under SD Ref: 02/24/03/2018.
Meanwhile the Entebbe Police Environmental officer Odong Daniel confirmed the incident adding that serious action needs to be taken because residents in the neighbourhood have complained about Tamasha Bar’s noise pollution.
