Legendary Entebbe Boxing Club Coach Mitala has thrown his weight behind Floyd May Weather Jr over Manny Pacquiao ahead of the mega fight dubbed “The Fight Of the Century” scheduled to take place on Sunday 4am (Ugandan Time). Coach Mitala argues that May Weather has been performing well at the MGM Grand Gardens Arena that will be hosting the mega bout.

“The MGM Grand Gardens Arena is not new to May Weather, he has had a couple of fights there and this is an added advantage for him over Pacquiao” Coach Mitala says.

“May Weather has had a couple of fights with strong opponents like Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Uganda’s Justin Juuko (The Destroyer) and remains undefeated. This also gives him the much needed experience over Pacquiao” Mitala added.

Mitala also argues that unlike Pacquiao who is attack minded throws more punches and has the speed, May Weather is defensive and steady and this is why he has been able to beat his opponents.

“I only got two more fights left (after Saturday) and after the next two fights I just want to build the May weather Promotions brand,” Mayweather said of his promotional company during a roundtable with a handful of reporters on Tuesday at the MGM Grand after making his grand arrival for fight week.

The 37-year-old Mayweather (46-0, 26 KOs) said he plans to remain involved in boxing as a promoter.

“I’ll still work with my stable of fighters, still build the Mayweather Promotions brand,” he said. “We have young fighters that we work with.”

Mean while May Weather and Pacquiao weighed in on Friday Pacquiao is 145 pounds while May Weather is 146 pounds.
