HIV/AIDS Positive youth in Entebbe through their Global HIV/AIDS Fund Organization were engaged in a car washing campaign in a bid to raise funds and resources for their fellow HIV/AIDS afflicted youth and kids who are returning to school. The youth organized the car washing exercise at the St. Padre Pio Catholic Parish church on Sunday in Bwebajja along Kampala- Entebbe Highway in a bid to raise funds and resources that their fellow youth and kids living with HIV/AIDS are in urgent need of as they start school.
The organization’s Director Kintu Salim told entebbenews that all the proceeds from the car washing exercise will go to supporting their colleagues who are currently pursuing their studies in different schools including Kitala S.S, Nkumba S.S, Kisubi-Mapeera Primary and Secondary School, New Christian School and Nkumba S.S.

“All the proceeds from the car washing exercise will go to supporting our colleagues who are pursuing their studies in different schools. I would like to thank among others Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI), Kisubi Parish Church, St. Padre Pio Church Bwebajja Parish and above all the Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Tumusiime our patron for standing with us and helping us achieve our dream”, Kintu Salim said.
He added
The Global HIV/AIDS Fund organization is based in Kitala, Entebbe, off Entebbe-Kampala highway and we currently looking after 50 orphans aged between 11-19 years who lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. We appeal to well wishers out there to support us achieve our dreams. Some of us would like to learn Hands on skills like Mechanics, catering, hair dressing and other skills. We currently have a drama and advocacy group that mainly spreads the HIV/AIDS Prevention gospel through drama though Transport means is our biggest challenge.
