Entebbe Girls Basketball Camp Ends Successfully.

Rogers Odiama also known as ODB (Of Double Blessing) has embarked on an ambitious project of nurturing the next generation of basketball stars in Entebbe and over 25 girls aged between 6-17 years braved the scorching sun on Saturday at the Entebbe Basketball Court also known as Dustyville to learn the fundamentals of the game of Basketball.

ODB, who also plays for Entebbe Knight Riders Basket Ball team has partnered with Score Beyond Leadership Organization, an international organization that identifies and nurtures Basketball players worldwide.
“The first Edition of the Entebbe Girls Basketball camp has attracted over 25 participants and we have partnered with score beyond Leadership Organization to identify and nurture female basketball players in Entebbe and our goal is to build one ladies’ team that can compete at both the local and international level”, ODB revealed.
ODB added;
The Entebbe Girls Basketball camp will be an annual event and besides equipping the girls with Basketball skills, we shall train them in other life skills so that they can grow up as holistic individuals. Thanks to Score Beyond Leadership Organization, Claire Lamono is now playing professional basketball in the United States Of America.

Seasoned Basketball coaches Albert Aciko and Mavita Ali who were in charge of the training session equipped the young stars with different fundamental Basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and layup. All the participants were awarded certificates.
