    ENTEBBE CADDIES OPEN: Omirambe, Namutebi Swing To Glory.

    20 year old Brian Omirambe (Namulonge Golf Club) and Entebbe based Agnes Namutebi swung to glory at the Entebbe Caddies Open tourney that was held on Monday at the par 71 Lake Side golf Course. Brian Omirambe carded 6 over par 77 gross to emerge overall winner in the men’s category while Agnes Namutebi carded 25 over par 96 gross to emerge winner in the ladies’ category.

    “The back 9 was easy, I shot 4 birdies on holes 11, 14, 16 and 17. The front 9 was difficult and challenging, I only shot bogeys on hole 1 and 6 and double bogey on hole 3” Omirambe said.  The Namulonge based caddie and 2014 Jinja caddies open champion has set his eyes on next year’s Uganda Open where he hopes to participate in the amateur category.

    The two top winners walked away with accolades and GO-tv decoders. Mean while winners in the different groups only walked away Go-TV Decoders.

    Cockas Elugant returned 78 gross to finish top in Group A, he beat Sam Wambi on count back who finished as runner up. John Bosco Ssendagala finished as group B Winner with 82 gross while Sunday Hebert returned 90 Gross to top group C.

    In the ladies category Resty Nalutaaya finished top in group A with 98 gross while Prudence Nimukama finished as runner up with 100 gross. Catherine Kwagala finished top in group B with 109 gross while Regina Namata finished as runner up with 111 gross. The tournament attracted 56 caddies from Entebbe and Kampala.
