On Friday Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had their hopes of lifting the Entebbe Airport League trophy quashed after they were knocked out by the clearing and forwarding team (UCIFA) in Round two of the Quarterfinals that were held at the Airport football pitch. CAA lost to UCIFA 3-2 in penalty shootouts after a goalless draw that saw CAA fail to break the deadlock despite their fantastic display and match domination.
It was goalie Eric Ocaya who carried his UCIFA teammates to victory thanks to his incredible saves in the penalty shootouts. Ambrose Tumusiime, Edmund Ogwal and Mpiima Julius scored for UCIFA while Arnold Aimomugisha and Tonney Zziwa scored the two penalties for CAA. CAA trio of Sserubiri Stephen, Amos Nsobya and Kiberu Bosco failed to convert their penalties.
UCIFA joins Police, Fresh Handling and Protea Hotel in the Semifinals which will take place next month.
