
Tuesday marked an exciting week for the Entebbe Airport staff as the second round of the Entebbe Airport stakeholder’s league knockout stage saw Aviation Police defeat Das Handling 4-2 in penalty shootouts after 1-1 aggregate score at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) football ground. Meanwhile on Wednesday, Protea Hotel humiliated their fiercest rivals Lake Victoria Hotel in the heated Hotel derby 3-0 in penalty shootouts after 1-1 aggregate score. Protea Hotel Goalie Peter Wasswa was crowned man of the match after his saved all the penalties. Isaac Parimu, Eddie Nambafu and Daniel Sembusi scored the three penalties for Protea. Skipper James Mafabi scored Lake Victoria Hotel’s consolation goal.
Shortly after the match, Lake Victoria Hotel team threatened to withdraw from the league citing poor refereeing and administration from the League committee. Lake Victoria Hotel team Coach Badru Egesa threatened to petition Fufa to intervene and address a number of loopholes in the Airport league.
However the Airport league Chairman Tom Byarugaba described Lake Victoria Hotel team as bad losers who don’t want to accept defeat.

On Thursday, defending Champions Fresh Handling knocked out Uganda Peoples Defence Airforce (UPDAF) 4-2 on aggregate score.
Action resumes today with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) team taking on the clearing team (UCIFA).
