Entebbe Airport League First Leg: CAA, SFC Top League Table.

High flying Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Special Forces Command (SFC) have dominated the first leg of the Entebbe Airport League that climaxed on July 17, 2015. Both CAA and SFC garnered 18 points out of the eight matches played to share the spoils. Both teams managed to garner identical results 5 wins and 3 draws to go top of the league table. Lake Victoria Hotel finished third with 17 points with 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss while Airport Taxi finished in fourth position with 14 points. Protea Hotel and Airforce FC finished in fifth and sixth positions with 11 points each. UCIFA is last on the log with 3 points. Meanwhile Entebbe Handling Services Limited (ENHAS) and Police FC were expelled from the league. League coordinator Edward Mugyeni revealed that the two teams lacked jerseys and efforts to engage top level management to provide the sports kits proved futile.

“We tried to engage ENHAS Management and Police to provide jerseys for their respective teams but they were adamant and therefore we had to swing to the axe. For instance Enhas team played a couple of matches bare-chested which we couldn’t tolerate” Mugyeni told entebbenews.

The League will resume on 5^th April with Lake Victoria Hotel taking on Civil Aviation Authority.
